Club Update - Second Development Milestone Reached!


I'm very happy to say I just released the second in-development build for the Club Update over on Patreon, meaning we're one step closer to the full, final release!

This update is a long time coming, but I've now finished the full Isaiah storylines as well as a fun solo path through the evening at the club, joining the Alex and Griffin story paths added in the last dev build. There are also 16 new CGs to unlock, including a few that are much more explicit than the CGs in the last dev build...

What's left on the plate are three hookup scenarios that could potentially end the night at the club, as well as a storyline for Asher. I'm beelining towards the finish line, while of course trying to maintain the same quality while working as a solo (and freshman!) developer.

Other news: A new Connor is on his way...

If you haven't heard yet, I am working on a new model for the game's main character, Connor, that will be coming in a game update after the Club Update is released.

There are a number of reasons for this, but the biggest one for me is that Connor was the first model I made for the game, and his edges are rough. It's very, very hard to light and pose him to look good, which means each CG I make featuring him takes a long time to create. Since he's going to be in virtually every CG in the game, that's not the best attribute to have, and it's a big contributor to how long each release takes to finish.

I've been sharing early versions and revisions of the potential new model on Twitter and on Patreon, and I'll be sharing many new images of the model on Patreon within the next few days, where I very much welcome feedback. The excellent comments I received when I shared the first version helped shape him into feeling much more like Connor.

I'll have more details on that in the future, but in the meantime here's a render of the current model. This isn't necessarily the final model, but he's a good representation of what I'm going for. 

That's what I have for you today! It's been a long time between updates for a variety of reasons, but I hope to be able to pick up the pace in the coming months, especially once the Club Update is finally completed. Thank you for following along - I can't wait to share more content soon!

Is it gonna be a Build Your Own Character? Would love to be able to customise and name the main character.  

No, this game has a predefined main character. The way the game is coded and how art is created doesn't allow for customization. But that would be something I could try in a future VN now that I have more experience making one.

This is the first Sim story game I've played and I'm totally blown away. While I'm unable to afford paying to receive the new updates, I certainly appreciate the time and hard work you've put into it and I'll happily wait until you decide to make the new update free. The connection to the characters is weirdly comforting and I find myself thinking of them as real people that I only want to see become happy. You've done an awesome job with the character arcs and being able to start and save several story lines is what I love the most. Thank you for giving everyone the chance to experience Conner's world.   

Wow, thank you so much for your kind words! It's a lot of work telling so many stories at once, but I feel the same way - I want all the characters to have their happy ending, whatever that means for them, and follow their journey to get there.

Updates will be posted here for free a month after Patreon, so you'll be able to continue to play without paying anything! I'll do a post on here with a release schedule when the next update is done so everyone will know when they can play ๐Ÿ™‚

Thank you so much for the info, I'm glad I wont have to wait too long to continue Connors journey. I'm excited to learn what's in store for him. You have a talent in making every situation very relatable and bringing the more passionate and erotic scenes come across like an obtainable fantasy. It's truly realistic and dare I say, incredibly hot.

I'm gonna miss the old Connor so much. I instinctively connected with his design. 

I'll miss him, too - he's served me well up til now. If the issues with the current model didn't cause so many delays with the artwork, I would be able to keep him as is, but unfortunately original Connor is too difficult to work with ๐Ÿ™

Hello! As a big fan of your work, I always look forward to news about the progress of the story. If you don't mind answering my question, then please tell me: why are you working on the game alone? Are you interested in working on this in one or is it not possible to hire a staff of employees for more productive work? And by the way, if you are interested, can I offer my candidacy as a localizer of your product into Russian? Despite the stereotypes about our country and authority in the current situation in the world, there are many people in my country who would love to read and look at Connor's story.

Hello! Yes, you are correct - the main reason I'm doing this solo is because I don't have the funds to hire anyone. I'm hesitant to have anyone do volunteer work since this will ultimately be a product for sale. I would definitely like to have more people working on it, though. Specifically coders, testers, and sound & music design. Once I can afford that, I'll look for people to fill those roles.

Localization would also be wonderful when I can afford to pay for it, and I would love to have people in Russia get a chance to experience the game. If I'm ever in the position to pay for translations, I'll put out a call for sure!
